Normal Pattern

Normal Pattern are not so easy to draw, but easy to knot and to read. You start at the top and when you’re at the bottom, you start again at the top and do it again, and again until you have the length of the bracelet you want (the typical length would be at 13cm or about 5inches).

The colorful circles on the pattern are your knots and the short colorful lines between them, are the two strings you are working with. So at the top, you see are already strings, put or tape your strings on a table (or other surface), like the pattern tells you the colours are needed (When you don’t do a loop, leave some strings for the start of the bracelet). And then you see the errors inside of the circle/knot, those show you the direction of where the string with the knot’s colour has to go. And to be sure you did it correctly, you check the string color with the color of the pattern (when I change colors in bigger pattern, I normally draw the pattern whole out, to avoid confusion through the color changes). And you see, when you’re done with your row, you start the next row and then the next, and then the next – and on the bottom – you go up again.
